Lead Teacher

St. Mark’s Preschool, Glen Ellyn, IL, is seeking an inspired educator to join our team this August. Our half-day morning and afternoon programs foster creativity, caring, and camaraderie for both the children and the educators accompanying them on their journey.
Lead Teacher Responsibilities include:
· Introducing creative, daily invitations to play that provide opportunities for self-directed play for groups and individuals
· Extending thinking with thoughtful provocations that support short- and long-term studies
· Creating documentation to make learning visible
· Curating individual portfolios for the children
· Planning and participating in parent/teacher conversations throughout the year
· Flexibility to adapt the curriculum to follow child interest
· Creating meaningful connections with families
· Participating in occasional evening and weekend preschool events
