Little Scholars Journey is a childcare center in the McKinley Park area.
Job description:
The early childhood teacher is responsible for the planning and supervision of a group of children. The teacher will use play and other instructional techniques to support children’s development in all domains (cognitive, physical, language, and social emotional).
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and implementing weekly lesson plans.
Develop schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.
Provide an environment in which children can feel comfortable, relaxed, happy and involved in play, recreation and other activities.
Defining measurable outcomes to evaluate each child's progress.
Work with children in groups or one on one, depending on the needs of children and the subject matter.
Use of positive discipline and guidance techniques.
Attend professional developments.
