Directors are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of child care facilities, ensuring a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children. Managing staff, developing and implementing programs, and maintaining the facility’s compliance with relevant regulations. Directors are responsible for the development and implementation of child care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. Directors lead and supervise child care staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. Directors also ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing child care. Directors establish and implement policies and procedures, including safety procedures and emergency plans and more.
